Chapter 6 Image Management
6-11
Saving and Playing Images
Saving Images
Dierent buttons need to be used to save still and multi-frame images in the system.
The saved images are added to the thumbnail list in the left hand side of the screen, which can then be
edited or managed via SONOVIEW.
WARNING: Images are saved with patient ID. As a result, the corresponding ID must be provided
before they can be used again. Attempting to use saved images without providing a proper ID may
cause fatal error(s) to them.
Saving Still Images
Press the Save button.
The selected image will be saved with a patient ID. If the Save button is pressed without providing
a proper patient ID, the Patient Information screen will be displayed regardless of the Freeze setting.
Saving Multi-frame Images
Press the Clip Store button. If Freeze is enabled, press Cine Save in the Soft Menu. In Dual Mode, only
the Cine in the active area is saved.
Depending on the Freeze setting, multi-frame images can be saved in two ways:
X If Freeze is enabled, use the Trackball or Soft Menu to specify the image range for saving and
then save them. Please refer to “Reviewing Images” in this chapter.
X In Live Mode, images are saved according to the settings specied under Utility > Setup >
General > Clip Store Setting. For information on the settings, please refer to Chapter 7 ‘Utilities’.
When Freeze is enabled, if you attempts to save images without providing a proper ID, the Patient
Information screen is displayed before they can be saved. However, in Live Mode, an error message is
displayed instead and the images will not be saved.
