Multi-System VCR vs Worldwide VCR

The Worldwide VCR is similar to the Multi-System VCR in that it will play back tapes recorded in any

TV Broadcasting System. However, there are a few key differences:

NTSC

PAL

SECAM

Multi-System VCR

With a Multi-System VCR:

The TV must correspond to the system of the tape being

played, otherwise, a Multi-System TV is also required;

Tape duplication with system conversion (eg NTSC to PAL) is

not possible.

With the Worldwide VCR:

Tapes can be played on any TV monitor;

Recordings can be made in any TV Broadcasting System,

even if the tape is of a different system;

Tape duplication with system conversion is possible.
