Ethernet interfaces (3)
Connectors: RJ45 CAT5e standard jack
Mating connectors: RJ45 CAT5e or CAT6 plugs
Function: for connecting the DEWE-321x to a local area network (LAN), or for connecting ethernet peripher-
als (printers, cameras, etc.).
Description: Three channels of 10/100/1000Mb Ethernet RTL8111B LAN controllers. In order to achieve the
specied performance of the Ethernet port, Category 5 twisted pair cables must be used with 10/100MB and
Category 5E, 6 or 6E with 1Gb LAN networks.
The signals for the Ethernet ports are as follows:

On top of Ethernet connectors there is a Green LED (to the left) turning on when a 100MHz connection is
made and it is ashing when 100MHz trafc is ongoing. The Yellow LED (to the right) turns on when a 1GHz
connection is made and it is ashing when trafc is ongoing.
Please refer to the CAT5e, CAT6, and structured cabling standards for computer networks when interfacing
to the DEWE system.
